[break]
Lightpaw is aware of her good looks, and she does acknowledge and flaunt her appearance; the young she-cat prides herself in her pristine pelt and lovely eyes, and is careful to keep her fur clean and well-maintained when she can. She lives up to her name with a medium-length pelt that is white as snow and soft to the touch, and her fur grows even longer and fluffier at the tail. She clearly inherited this feathery tail from her father, who was likely of Turkish Angora descent, though she wouldn’t know for sure. Her large eyes are glowing blue orbs the color of the ocean, with her left eye being more green than the right. She is rather good at yielding her emotions from her eyes, but bursts of excitement, anger, or disappointment can be glimpsed when she isn’t being more guarded. Lightpaw is a smaller-medium size for a she-cat, but this is likely due to her young age. It is expected that as she grows older and undergoes more training she will become stronger and more lean. Now, however, she is a very agile cat, quick on her paws with sharp reflexes. Her piercing eyes, long ears, and nose are all observant, and she’s quite hard to sneak up on- not to say that it’s impossible, though. She lacks a bit in the muscles and strength area, but she makes up for it with her swiftness. Lightpaw hopes that she will become stronger as she gets older, but there is an undeniable fact that she will never reach the strength that the more sturdy cats have, and her speed will always be quite a few steps ahead of her brawn. She has a thin scar reaching from her left shoulder up to mid-neck that is very faint, almost unnoticeable, from an expedition during kithood gone awry. Lightpaw carries herself with confidence, not being too cocky, but far from being timid.
[break][break]
personality[break]
Lightpaw’s name is just as applicable to her personality as it is her appearance. A light-hearted, intelligent young she-cat, she is looking forward to her training and becoming a warrior. Like most ambitious cats, she has aspirations to be leader of her clan one day, and it is with this dream that she is incredibly hardworking and dedicated to doing her best and showing everyone just what she's capable of. This determination likely stems from her wanting to overcome the obstacles of her parentage and the rumors that blow around camp amongst the others that her father is a loner or a kittypet. She wants nothing more than to prove to everyone that she is the best warrior Shadowclan will ever see, regardless of who her father is. She's fiercely local to her Clan and very protective, seeing everyone in Shadowclan as her friend or family(whether they agree with this belief or not.) Good at taking charge, she can be a bit bossy at points, but she is skilled at keeping a level-head in stressful situations. Lightpaw has a very bright mind full of ideas, and has a lot of creativity stuffed into such a small body. Sometimes she can be a bit impractical with said ideas or get overenthusiastic, and she tends to push others to follow her ideas and schemes(this made her an incredibly troublesome kit, as one could imagine.) She is very excitable, passionate cat who can be hard to keep up with at points. Very sprightly and energetic, she's not really one to relax; as she gets older, however, this seemingly never-ending energy may fade as she matures more and it's likely that she'll grow a bit more calm, though that's not to say that she'll completely lose her vivacious personality. While this liveliness can be a good thing and some have found it to be endearing, it would be a lie to say that it hasn't been found to be annoying by other clanmates.[break][break]
Exhausting enthusiasm aside, Lightpaw always has good intentions and is a well-rounded, kind, loving young cat. She's very affectionate and friendly, willing to befriend pretty much anyone who's wants to be. As she's suffered from heavy scrutiny herself, she makes sure to always be openminded and non-judgmental. She tries to get along with everyone, though this is far from possible and there are plenty of other cats who dislike her for one reason or another. She's very cheery and optimistic, and tries to pick others up when they're having a foul day. A good listener, Lightpaw is very good to talk to when someone has a problem or wants to talk something out, and she adores giving advice and helping others with their problems. In those situations she's surprisingly patient and willing to be there for anyone in need, even if she doesn't particularly like them. She adventurous, daring, and has an undying curiosity (most would call is nosiness) that gets her in plenty of trouble, and she doesn't always know when to stick her nose into things and when to stay out of it. She's very bold and brazen and can be very stubborn and thick-headed at points, and strongly dislikes being wrong or losing or really anything that damages her pride. While she is normally very charming and amiable, if she's pushed to a certain point she can be very snarky and has quite the sharp tongue when she needs it, though that doesn't happen very often as she usually is good at controlling her temperature and keeping a level head. For the most part she's very good-natured and she has a warm heart. She loves to have fun and goof off, but she normally knows when to get serious(though there have been plenty of exceptions to this.) She can be a bit of a show-off at points and loves getting attention, though this is how most young cats feel and it's possible that she could grow out of this. When other cats are in the spotlight she tends to get a bit jealous, though she normally doesn't do anything about this envy as she's aware that she can't always be the center of attention. Sociable and loud and very outgoing and extroverted, she loves to interact with her fellow clanmates. And while being a little flirtatious is never a bad thing, Lightpaw loves to flirt with others, toms and she-cats, depending on who's interested. Often time she doesn't realize that she's flirting; her teasing playfulness is often just how she interacts with some cats, and she can't always help it. It's not a huge problem now, as she's young, but it could certainly get her into trouble later one. Lightpaw's very childish and in desperate need of a bit of maturing, but for now she's merely a young apprentice, so she has time to grow and change a bit.

history[break]
BEFORE BIRTH:[break]
Darkfire was a lovely young she-cat and highly sought after by many of her clanmates. However she showed little interest in any of them; she had her eyes on another cat. Near the end of her apprenticeship she met an attractive tom who had crossed over the border. Originally she had intended to chase him out of Shadowclan territory, but she was soon drawn in by his looks and smooth words. They continued to meet in secret, and she would always roll around in the marshes afterwords to disguise his foreign scent so none of her clanmates would suspect anything odd. However, soon she was stuck in quite the predicament. Not long after she was made a warrior she her belly swelled with kits. She refused to tell anyone in the clan who the father was, and everyone just assumed that it had been a fling that had impregnated her. But one day someone caught her sneaking out of camp and meeting up with a strange cat. They only talked briefly, so there was no proof that the strange cat was the father, but assumptions and rumors spread quickly, despite Darkfire's denials of the accusations. Soon, Darkfire gave birth to three kits: first was was a she-cat whom she named Lightkit, second was a tom named Briarkit, and last was another tom named Wolfkit.
[break][break]
KITHOOD:[break]
Wolfkit and Briarkit had both inherited their mother's dark fur and hazel eyes, but Lightkit was another matter. With shining white fur a vibrant blue eyes, she matched the description of the strange cat that Darkfire had met up with perfectly, and this further solidified the belief that the new kits were only half-Clan. As Darkfire had met up with the cat away from any of the borders of the other clans, everyone assumed he was a loner. The three kits faced a lot of sneers and judgement because of this, though Darkfire tried her best to defend the kits at all costs. When Lightkit first overheard hisses that they were "half-Clan disgraces" and "destined to be traitors" she confronted the gossiping warriors head on, insisting that her and her littermates were the most loyal clanmates in all of Shadowclan. She then went to her mother to ask about the rumors, but Darkfire insisted that they were just that; rumors. She still would not say who their real father was, though. The kits tried their best not ti let it bother them, and spent their days playing warrior and hunter, pretending to be fighting "fishy-stinking Riverclan" and "rabbit-munching Windclan". When she was three moons old she even managed to catch a frog that had hopped into camp; said frog was very weak and didn't provide much meat, but Lightkit spent the next half-moon bragging about how she had "already caught her first prey" and that she was going to be "the best hunter in all of the Clan." Ever confident, when she was five moons old she managed to convince her two brothers to go on an expedition outside of camp to go fight a fox that had been lurking on their territory. They crept out of camp in at night, Lightkit sticking out like a sore thumb because of her bright pelt while her two brothers were concealed by the darkness. Unsurprisingly, this adventure didn't go well. They made it to the center of the dead grass when they were found not by a clanmate but by the fox. To the kits, this fox was a huge, stinking menace. Lightkit tried to be brave and attack, but a small kit was no match for a full grown fox, and with one swipe he swatted her away and left a large gash from her right shoulder to mid-neck. Luckily, before the fox could eat the three kits up, a patrol who had noticed the kits scent trail arrived, killing the fox and saving the kits. Lightkit spent time in the medicine cat den healing her wound and being lectured about how stupid and dangerous her actions had been. They had even threatened to postpone their apprenticeship, but as their intentions had been good, if not incredibly idiotic, they were just punished by having to clean the elders den for the rest of the month. Lightkit's wound healed, but she still has the scar. She liked to tell exaggerated stories to whoever would listen about how she had managed to get a swipe at the fox and scratched his face before he hit her, while in reality she had managed to cuff the foxes muzzle and that was about it, not even leaving a scratch. She also enjoyed showing off her "first ever battle scar."
[break][break]
APPRENTICESHIP:[break]
At six moons Lightkit became Lightpaw along with her brothers, now Briarpaw and Wolfpaw. She was given the mentor [name here] and was incredibly excited. It's only been two moons, but she loves to show off the moves she's learned for fighting and hunting. She practices often, and her fellow apprentices have been caught up in one of her surprise-attacks more than once, unwillingly playing the roles of mice and birds and enemy clanmates. Lightpaw still has a long way to go with her training, of course, but she already has her eyes set on becoming leader one day, and her eyes shine with determination and enthusiasm every morning as she looks forward to learning more and more in order to become the best warrior she can be.
