Frostpaw got out of camp before his siblings. It was his first day of training in what felt like weeks. He wanted to be a warrior more then anything. His old mentor was very strict, he wasn't allowed to show many emotions he didn't understand that training could be fun. But his mentor was only a few moons older then he was. He had a little sparkle of hope that she wasn't as horrible as his old mentor. His paws moved quickly to to the sandpit and waited quietly for his new mentor. He wondered if his mentor would be impaired by her leg. |

 Will you still love me when i'm no longer young and beautiful? It was early when Wrenstep had gotten up, her first apprentice however seemed to have made it out before her as she popped her head into the apprentices den to see if he was there. Taking in a deep breathe the pretty molly turned around and started out of camp. Every time she stepped using her bad hind leg her body bounced, though it didnt hinder her and she ran a bit in order to catch up a bit.
She didn't want to be too late to their first day of training and make her apprentice see her as lazy. She had to admit she was excited to work with Frostpaw, he seemed like an absolute joy to be around and he wasn't too bad looking either.
With a quick shake of her head Wrenstep laughed at herself for that though. You're training him mouse-brain. She snapped at herself before seeing the sandpit come into view. "Frostpaw!" She called, seeing the white tom come into view. Bounce baby bounce template by Margie @ Adoxography v2 |

Frostpaw smiled as he watched his mentor bounce towards him. His name was called and he ran to her like a dog. He was playful and sometimes stubborn. But one thing he was. Was well trained. He sat in front of her and smiled. "So what we doing today? I am well trained in all!" he said with a massive smirk. He waited for a reply, the young long haired apprentice got bored. He grinned and jumped to his paws. "I'll race you down to the bottom!" he didn't really wait for a reply.
He raced down the banks finding it hard to find his footing and slide down most of the way. He sand flew around, as the large apprentice forced it out the way. Finding a tree in front of him, the fun turned to panic. His heart raced and he closed his eyes. Just before coming to a gentle stop making his nose light pressed against the hard bark. He let out a loud chuckle. "I'm ok!" |

Will you still love me when i'm no longer young and beautiful? Wrenstep flinched back a little as he seemed to skid to a stop in front of her, a purr filled chuckle coming from the young warrior. This apprentice sure was something else and she had to say, she adored it. He was so, focused on her when he needed to be and that was an aspect that she was ready to work with.
"Oh I was thinking we cou-" She was cut off by his second question before him darting off. "You special little cat." She said to herself with a giggle before dashing after him. while she was hindered by her leg, it didnt seem to stop her from being fast enough to nearly catch up with him.. That is before he nearly slammed into a tree. However with the sudden playful side that had peaked in Wrenstep she wasn't going to let him dash off again.
She quickly lept at him, attempting to knock the cat to the floor with a grin. "I was thinking we could test what your past mentor taught you about battle training." She purred, nose to nose with him. Bounce baby bounce template by Margie @ Adoxography v2 |

Frostpaw felt kind of bad he had ran off mid sentence. But she was to slow. He grinned when looked behind him and saw that she was slower. Though he had given himself a head start, by not waiting for her and just running. "So! I wi-" the white apprentice was stopped mid sentence as his mentor pounce on him.
His legs gave why by the surprised pounce, as she stood of top of him. He let out a soft purr. This was much more fun then his old mentors lessons. As she spoke to him, he got lost in Wrensteps eyes. Before saying his head quickly and smiling. Fine! But this doesn't count" he said purring playfully. He then smiled, playfully batting at her shoulders. "Let me up then! Or are you going to cheat forever?" he challenged playfully. |

Will you still love me when i'm no longer young and beautiful? A laugh as bright as the sun itself escaped from Wrenstep as she bounced off of her little apprentice. Her green eyes watched him closely, knowing full and well the little tom enjoyed their game as much as she did. While training was nice it didnt always have to be serious, sometimes a game can teach just as much as a serious lesson.
"First lesson of the day, though a cat may have a disability..." She started, hopping over to show her hind right leg, healed crooked. "They can still fight like a normal cat." Wrenstep was still purring, clearly not bothered by having the messed up leg and she simply turned and hopped the rest of the way into the sand.
"Second lesson of the day, avoid running into trees." She had decided she liked this apprentice, as much as he could be a pain when he ran off, at least he wasnt a know it all. There was so much he could learn from her, and possibly the other way around. The two were a match made in heaven.
She gazed at him for a moment before nodding. "She me what you know, Frostpaw." Bounce baby bounce template by Margie @ Adoxography v2 |

Frostpaw watched the she-cat bounce off of her. Finally! he thought. He got to his paws, with his now long white fur covered in yellow spots of sand. He groaned slightly, before looking up to his mentor as she spoke. "Yeah. Yeah got it. Always take care when battling. A different style of fighting one that isn't know is one that will get you killed" he said echoing his late mentor.
He puffed out his chest I'll have know. Miss Wrenstep. I missed the tree. I had calculated" he tried to keep a straight face. But bursting out in to laughter. " I clearly have Starclan on my side. Because I haven't run into a tree yet and i'm almost a warrior!" he told her proudly.
He then quickly dropped into a Fighting crouch. More then ready to show his new mentor a trick or two. His eyes quickly scanned the she-cat in front of him and smiled wasn't bad looking. He quickly shook his head and dived for the she cat. It was a simple move to push someone over. His claws hidden from all view.

Will you still love me when i'm no longer young and beautiful? A grin quickly flashed on the handicapped she-cats face. This is what she was most excited for, sure he was taught before but he had no idea how to fight a cat that was, as most believed, impaired. Her green eyes were bright as she lept to the side quickly.
While the little toms fur brushed her, and he was close, she used the strength her left leg had from being used so often to propel herself away from him and pouncing back at him. While she didn't touch him she made sure to show he may have made a mistake. Not to embarrass him or anything Wrenstep let out a soft, purry, laugh.
"You may not have run into that tree but you sure having a had time running into me." She said, bouncing back again. "Remember, my left leg has more power than my right, use that to your advantage." One rancid post for you. template by Margie @ Adoxography v2 |

it was only a kiss how did it end up like this! [attr="class","medcontainer"] [attr="class","medicon"] Frostpaw's face screwed up in anger, as he noticed his brown tabby mentor scoot to the side of him. He missed! Sure it wasn't a terrible missed it was close. But it was still a miss. One that could coast the young tom the fight, if this was real. But lost in his thoughts he got pounced towards and he flinched. Before getting his surroundings right, he heard a laugh. He let out a sigh. His mentor was laughing at him! <As his mentor spoke he mocked his speech. While playful and hard-working. He wasn't very good at taking criticism. Even if it was from someone he was found of. But he gave a quick nod. He got into his hunting crouch and launched him self. He was launching him self on her bad side. His plan was to leap over and spring back. But he wondered if this was to predicable. Well to late now. Will you still love me when i'm no longer young and beautiful? She knew what he was doing for a moment before everything seemed to shift. Something her mentor had never taught her to do and she was just barely catching onto what Frostpaw was doing before she slammed into the ground, her bad leg seemingly twisting as she went.
With a puff of air leaving her chest bright green eyes stared up at the little white tom, a smile an a purr lifting from the fluffy brown she-cat. "Very well done Frostpaw." She said, pulling herself slowly back to her feet, she wasnt babying her leg though she seemed to be putting less pressure than normal on it.
"You are definitely a natural at this thats for sure. Just remember, not every cat is the same in how they battle." She wasnt all too good at this mentor thing but she had a filled heart for this little tom, he was quite adorable. Love me

He got her to ground! But before hew knew it, he looked into her green eyes and blushed quickly getting of his mentor. He didn't feel his paw twist, he was un-aware of her pain. Still purring, almost so excited his tail started wagging. But as she was getting up he noticed something wasn't quiet right.
His pride and wanting to brag attitude had gone. His ears pinned back in fear he'd something to his mentor and he'd get other. Moving forward slowly with head down as sorry. "Are you ok Wernstep? I didn't- I wasn't-" there was pause between everyword. What had he done? His heart sank as he waited for her words.

Will you still love me when i'm no longer young and beautiful? Wrenstep hadn't thought much of her leg and the small twist it had done. Normally a cat wouldnt have even felt it, however with how her leg had healed the bone is weaker than most and she often feels sore or has quite a bit of pain for no real reason in it. So wih the off feeling she didnt blame her apprentice, she imagined it was just it being sore again, it was early in the morning.
However when she turned to look at Frostpaw as he spoke a flicker of sympathy ran through her and she hopped over to him, her tongue running on his forehead. "Now now Frostpaw, you didn't do any wrong. I am training you, if my leg gets in the way and starts to hurt I'm not going to back down, I won't let it get to me. Just as you shouldn't feel bad, you arent the one who broke it in the first place."
It was clear the tom cared, and that was good, caring for your clan was one of the first things a cat should learn. However she knew she couldnt let this get in the way of his training and she definitely wouldnt let it. Wren is supposed to be sick now so if you wanna make a thread between them with that cuteness let me know. I'll also ask you when i see you in cbox since most people dont read this
