[break][break] robin [break] longhaired red-brown calico with soft amber eyes. |
[attr="class","twomedcontainer"]
[attr="class","twomedicon"]
[break]
Robin is a beautiful red and brown calico, meaning instead of your typical black and brown, her fur is white, with ruddy-orange tabby tones and darker brown patches. There are also lighter grey-brown patches, especially on the ends of the longer parts of her coat, such as her tail and her back. Her face is mostly orange, with dark brown cheeks, and a white stripe that runs up the left side of her bright pink nose, just past her eye. Robin's belly, chest, lower muzzle, back legs, and forepaws are all a milky white. Her coat is exceptionally long and is typically kept very well-groomed. Her eyes are a soft amber-gold, with a near-green tint near the pupils. [break][break]
Robin is built sleek and slender, as any soft kittypet should be. She is not overly fat, as she likes to keep herself limber by scaling the garden fence, climbing trees, and racing around her large backyard. She has unusually big paws and large back claws, though her front claws have been removed by her twolegs. Her long tail adds to her slender body, but her fur gives her the appearance of being a well-built cat if it is not groomed down.
[break][break][break]
personality[break]
Robin can come across as a stubborn know-it-all, and you would be right at first glance. However, upon closer inspection, you'll find that this behavior simply covers up her insecurities. Unlike her siblings, Robin was never terribly bright. She lacked the skills that most cats possessed, and she found it hard to understand many concepts that came easily to the others. Because of this, she became bitter and her self-confidence fell, leaving her to act as if she were far more clever than she actually was. Though she has come to terms more with this in her life as a kittypet, she still has moments of insecurity which can lead to acting out in a rather bossy, childlike manner. [break][break]
Robin gets attached very easily. She was lucky to live just next door of her original home, keeping close to her mother, and this gave her a gray sense of security. There are not many cats around her other than her mother, especially since her siblings left, and because of this, any chance she gets to make a friend, she will take. She will not leave them alone if the opportunity presents itself, and this rather kitten-like behavior shows how her life was not the smoothest of sailing. She is not lonely, but rather desperate for companionship. [break][break]
Robin also fears change, which is a large part of why she chose to remain a kittypet. She does not do well at learning new things, and so chooses to stick to what is comfortable and familiar. Her large, beautiful home affords her enough space to explore and entertain herself, though she's never been entirely keen on four walls and a roof. Though the forest may call from across the garden gate, Robin lives in a state of denial. knowing she would never be cut out for such a rough and difficult lifestyle. She is too soft to be a Clan cat or a loner, and so she is content to remain her days as a soft kittypet. [break][break]
However, not all of Robin's traits are negative ones. She is very curious and loves to explore, learn, and grow, even if it does take her longer than most. She can have moments of true brilliance, though she has not yet discovered what her talent in life may be. She is surprisingly patient, and very motherly to those around her when she's not acting childish. If she was able to let go of her fears and insecurities, she would be a very mature and easily lovable feline.

history
[break]
Robin was born to a young kittypet named Crissa, and strange rogue. Crissa rarely spoke of her love, and the young kits’ father, and Robin grew up knowing almost nothing about him. Robin had two sisters, Quail and Gorse, and two brothers, Hawk and Shadow. They were all kittypets, and were raised until they were just over a moon old, and then they were all adopted out by various twolegs. Robin was lucky; the twoleg family which adopted her happened to be the neighbors of the twolegs who owned her mother, Crissa. They were able to spend plenty of time together in both of their backyards, or would sit on the fence and admire the forest that lay beyond their home. The forest bordering the fences of their yards was inviting to some, but Robin never found herself craving the freedom of a feral cat. She was perfectly content at home, where she received frequent pettings and unlimited food.
[break][break]
Robin was summoned by a strange tom who claimed to be her father one night when she was just over three moons old. He offered them the chance to live wild with him, but Robin, fearing both the change and the dirty, difficult life of a rogue, declined and left almost immediately. She did not like that some stranger had appeared, claiming to be the father who had abandoned her and her family, and then came back as if he owned them or any of their rights. She returned to her home, and that was the last time she would see Shadow, Gorse, or Quail again. They all chose to leave their kittypet lives, which Robin did not know, and she learned later from her mother. Robin has since lived happily with her twolegs, and though she does miss her family, she feels more betrayed by their leaving than guilty for staying, and so she makes her way with her mother, alone and as content as she can be.
