SPIDERWEB
Large, sleek black tom with eyes of molten gold | ||
Male | 37 Moons | Mistrustful |
Riverclan | Deputy | Loyal |
[break]
[break][break]
Intimidating might be the first word to come to a cat's mind when they stare upon his large visage. Across broad shoulders would their gazes fall, and down long legs corded with muscle. Born into another clan, Spiderfall might have remained a thinner creature, his stature long and widely framed, but nothing too bulky. Such would not have lasted in Riverclan, however. Blessed with broad paws, he took to swimming. Soon, the muscle caked upon his lean body, giving him more masculine girth than his creator might have ever intended. Athletic in every sense, he stands above most cats, muscle rippling beneath a coat of fur. Many would go so far as to call the male handsome, his face sculpted with gentle plains and slightly large ears. Most captivating in his face of black are his eyes, the two orbs like that of amber, like that of gold. Depending on the lighting, his gaze can be likened to the most benevolent sunlit rays, or to the most destructive of fires.
[break][break]
Coated in ebony fur, there comes no curiosity as to why the prefix of spider- fell onto his crown. Long legged at the time as well, it seemed to be the perfect fit. Complete was the wash of darkness over his body, so much so that he appeared almost as a shard from the night sky and placed upon the earth. Light the evening, he maintains an ever changing outward expression. When with his fellows, his warriors, he has a warmth to him that none could match. It is happiness within those eyes, and while he possesses a quiet dominance, it never crosses the threshold of overbearing. When with his leader, when in stressful situations, he is alert and attentive. It is with other clan cats, and with loners, that one sees the bitterness within. He will become more predatory, his eyes more narrowed, and dominance will exude from his very being. Strangers are not to be trust- at least to those golden eyes.

Strict || The rules are the rules. The code is the code. It exists for the purpose of order, for control, for coexistence and peace. Spiderweb would be damned before he allowed the restraints, the protections under which they lived to be broken and tarnished. He is a creature that lives by the book, and perhaps takes the rules to their most extreme form. To this cat, his is not a creature of leniency, but instead, one of iron-fisted resolve. What the code says is what he will abide by, and he cannot endure those that ignore the code. But will he kill them? No, he is no barbarian. Fiercely loyal to his clan, he will exile if need be. Those that cannot protect the clan through the code, clearly, do not deserve to be there. Even above blood, he puts his clan first. From this, one can also gain his disgust with chaos. War, battles, he despises them. Therefore, he believes that if all simply followed the code, there would be no need for death. No need for destruction. He is no warmonger.
[break]
Loyal || Spiderweb is the kind of cat to struggle with his own personal honor. Against temptation and desire, he will first think of his duty, of his clan. To his leader, he is a tight-lipped confidant. To his brethren, he is the guardian, the protector. When given camaraderie, Spiderweb takes it on himself to protect. This need to defend all who come into his paws can cause troubles for the cat, and yet he heaps all of the responsibility onto his shoulders regardless. He is reluctant even to take a mate, for he feels it could compromise his loyalty to Riverclan. After all, if he were to worry about her above all others, would he not be incompetent as a leader? As a guide? Therefore, he takes loyalty to a new height, and can be burdened by it.
[break]
Independent || He hunts with others, he patrols with others, and yet... emotionally? He is far from dependent. Even when worry rides on his shoulders and taxes his heart, he will keep all that troubles him carefully tucked away. Spiderweb wishes not to trouble others, to hurt the happiness of his clanmates. Therefore, his true thoughts and desires often fall second tier to what might benefit the clan. By keeping his emotions so tightly under lock and key, he occasionally has trouble expressing affection for those he adores.

Batscreech || Mother || She was a she-cat that lived by the code. In all of her stories to her son, she spoke of the warrior code. It existed in her stories, in her memories. Batscreech herself was the product of a union between Riverclan and Thunderclan. She had struggled to prove her own loyalty. Therefore, she smothered Spiderkit in all of the glories and the strengths of the code. Batscreech was a loving mother, but she stayed a warrior far too long. Able to retire but in love with providing for her clan, she continued to patrol and hunt. In a sour skirmish with a rival clan, she received a nasty cut, and then died of infection.[break]
Warblenest || Father || He was once a windclanner that left his clan for love. However, once in Riverclan, he was spurned by the she-cat that was too ashamed to accept him. Since then, he toiled, trying to instill his loyalty to a family that was not his own. He found common cause with Batscreech, and soon the two were lovers. They had only one litter, for Batscreech was loathe to be a queen. He was a kind and loving father. Eventually, he died of greencough a couple moons before his mate passed.[break]
Flutteringmoth || Brother || He is thinner than his brother, and not quite as good at swimming. Rather the lackadaisical type, Spiderweb often has to remind him to hunt and patrol. If left to his own devices, he will laze about the river or sunbathe on a rock like an elder before his time. [break]
Blackfish || Brother || Thicker than his two brothers, but also more stocky, he reminds one more of a sinking rock than a fish. Nonetheless, he is a superb hunter, his paws deft and quick. Of course, he is teased from time to time for his ability, but he takes it with only a couple grains of salt. In general, an easy going creature. Simple and often driven by force of habit.[break][break]
Kithood|| Spiderkit rolled into this world alongside two brothers. They were their parents' greatest joy, and their life was one of ease. In their ears swarmed stories of the code, of its importance and greatness. Spiderkit devoured the lessons eagerly, as did his brothers. Their relationship with the clan was a pleasant one, yet only Spiderkit showed interest in becomming a leader. Like most starry-eyed kits, he played the copy cat of the leader, often giving speeches to his denmates about the state of the moss. Leader of his little kitten clan, he was more than content. Never did he sneak out, though one plot was foiled early on. Particularly, he romped around with Echokit and her siblings. They were rival clans, or comrades in arms depending on the day. [break]
Apprenticeship || Spiderpaw was apprenticed to a cat by the name of Graywaters. An upstanding cat, kind yet stern, she taught him much. She would often have him swim for hours on end. In her eyes, being a master in the water was of the utmost importance. Such was very personal for her, however, for she lost her first litter to drowning. Spiderpaw toiled alongside his brothers rarely, though he did remember getting a good thumping from Blackpaw during a spar. Life was sweet. Eventually, all three brothers were made warriors together.[break]
Warrior || He watched vigil with his brothers that night, and soon he was joining patrols. Indeed, he got himself into his fair share of skirmishes, but never did he truly suffer awful injury. During one of the clan gatherings, however, he met a pretty Shadowclan she-cat. Her interest in him was great, and he had to admit that he found her intriguing. However, when she showed up on the Riverclan border one night, he refused to touch her, though his heart ached. He went swimming to wash her scent from him, and to drown his sadness. To this day he still feels bitter about the whole engagement.[break][break]
*NOTE. If made deputy, this part of the history is relevant. If not made deputy, it will be removed.[break]
Deputy || Spiderweb was eventually recognized for his prowess and skill and loyalty. Though relatively young, he showed great promise. -note, would like to work out the details with the appointed leader if chosen-
